Lee Jinyup, more commonly known as Fire Dragon, is the director of the school, and the Five Heavenly Paths master of fire. He was an old friend and rival of Lightning Tiger, as they knew each other since they were children because their masters were close friends, and they often sparred testing each other techniques. They split when Fire Dragon chose to side with Yuri Linus in her quest to become a god because he is in love with her. His support for Yuri has led him to become an enemy of Vera Linus and even led to hostilities between him and Vera and Earth Beast.
He told Gangryong that he was the one who reassembled the pieces of Lightning Tiger's arm, which led Gangryong to suspect him of killing his master, but Fire Dragon merely teases Gangryong about it asking him to become strong enough to know the answer.
Fire Dragon is one of the most powerful characters in the series, to the point that he only recognizes Yuri Linus and Lightning Tiger as superior to himself. He has immense amount of Ki thanks to being supplied it by Reunion and he has also mastered multiple martial arts that he uses in addition to his own traditional art. According to Liquid Shark, he has transcended the limits of the Heavenly Five Paths like Lightning Tiger did.
In volume 9, Fire Dragon attacks Madoka and Hayato after they protest about the test given to Kombengi and the treatment given to Chun Guesong's remains; Rud and Jeeha interfere and attack Fire Dragon, they are helped latter by Yuhwa, but still are no match, Gangryong appears and also attacks Fire Dragon (The only one of the fighters to land a hit on him), after Gangryong dispels a fire vortex and Vera appears, Fire Dragon calmly leaves the place. Later is shown that while he was moving and walking normally after the fight, he was injured to the point of vomiting blood.
It is to be noted the immense power of Fire Dragon, to be able to sustain a combined attack from some of the most powerful students in the school (Against five members of the Student Council and Gangryong) easily neutralizing Jeeha, Madoka, Hayato and Rud at the same time. He is later shown fighting several Elders of the Heaven's Riches Faction at the same time while protecting Yuri's comatose body.
Techniques[]
- Wall of Ki - A technique in which the user projects a barrier of ki to isolate the middle space. It is used to counter Heaven's Riches by preventing the attack from reaching the users body. (It should be noted that Lightning Tiger is the creator of this technique.
- Flame Demon Wall - First mentioned in a flashback between Lightning Tiger and Fire Dragon training in chapter 24. First seen in chapter 66. It is a vortex of flame which forms around the user. It is utilized by combining the atmosphere with the users ki and altering the atmosphere property to create fire from nothing. The user can also affect the atmosphere inside the vortex weakening there opponents with the heat, pressure and smoke.
- Midair Hold - A technique that holds an opponent in what looks like telekinesis, it has a great ki consumption and requires a high concentration.
- Flame Explosion - Used to free himself from Yuhwa's string's. the technique forms a torrent of fire around the user quickly rising upwards.
